Assessments

Our psychological assessments provide valuable insights into cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Whether you're seeking an evaluation for learning difficulties, mental health concerns, or developmental challenges, our comprehensive assessments are tailored to meet each individual's unique needs. We offer clear, actionable recommendations based on the results to guide treatment, educational planning, or personal development.

ADHD

Our ADHD assessments focus on understanding attention, focus, and executive functioning. These evaluations determine whether symptoms align with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and provide recommendations for managing impulsivity, inattention, and hyperactivity at school, home, or work. The results can help guide interventions such as therapy, medication, and behavioral strategies.

Mental Health & Emotional Well-being

These assessments focus on identifying mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Through a combination of clinical interviews, behavioral assessments, and standardized tests, we gain a clear understanding of emotional well-being. The results guide recommendations for therapy, coping strategies, and mental health interventions to support long-term emotional health.

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism assessments are designed to evaluate social communication skills, behavioral patterns, and sensory sensitivities. We offer comprehensive evaluations for children, teens, and adults, identifying whether Autism Spectrum Disorder is present. Our assessments provide clear recommendations for supports that can improve daily functioning, social skills, and emotional regulation

Giftedness

Giftedness assessments measure cognitive abilities and intellectual potential, identifying children or teens who may excel academically or creatively. These evaluations provide insight into the areas of strength and the types of enrichment or advanced educational opportunities that can help gifted individuals reach their full potential. We also address the unique social and emotional needs of gifted learners.

Psycho-Educational

A psycho-educational assessment evaluates learning abilities, cognitive strengths, and academic skills. This assessment is ideal for identifying learning disabilities such as dyslexia or dyscalculia, as well as understanding how a child or teen processes information. The results provide insight into the types of accommodations and strategies that can support success in school and everyday learning environments.

PDD Eligibility

Our assessments for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) funding eligibility evaluate cognitive, adaptive, and developmental functioning. These assessments are necessary for determining whether an individual qualifies for PDD services and support in areas such as education, daily living skills, and community participation. We provide comprehensive documentation and recommendations that align with PDD program requirements.

What to Expect from the Assessment Process

How Long Does it Take?

The assessment process typically includes an initial consultation, followed by a 4-6 hours of testing, 5 hours of report writing and a 1-hour results meeting. Testing sessions occur over multiple days at the office. The total duration of the assessment depends on the complexity of the evaluation, but most assessments take approximately 12 hours to complete.

What is the wait time?

Wait times can vary depending on the type of assessment and client availability, but we strive to schedule the initial intake within 2 weeks. If you have urgent needs, please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate you sooner.

Do You Offer Follow-Up Support?

Absolutely. After the assessment, we offer follow-up consultations to go over the results, answer any questions, and help implement the recommended strategies. We can also provide ongoing support through therapy or school consultations as needed.

What is the cost?

The cost of assessments is billed at an hourly rate of $220. On average, assessments take 12 to 14 hours, resulting in a total cost between $2,640 and $3,080. Clients are required to pay after each appointment or testing session, and you will receive an invoice that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

When Will I Receive My Report?

After the assessment is complete, we analyze the results and compile a detailed report. This usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. The report includes test scores, a clear explanation of the findings, and personalized recommendations for next steps, whether for educational planning, treatment, or further evaluation. Reports are then provided upon final payment following the results meeting.

How an Assessment Can Help

Understand Strengths and Weaknesses

An assessment provides valuable insights into your cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. By identifying areas of strength and areas where you may face challenges, assessments can help clarify why certain difficulties exist and guide targeted strategies for improvement. This deeper understanding is the first step toward making informed decisions about therapy, education, or workplace accommodations.

Tailored Recommendations for Support

After completing an assessment, you will receive clear, actionable recommendations designed specifically for your needs. Whether it’s academic accommodations, therapeutic interventions, or strategies for managing daily life, our assessments give you a roadmap for success. These recommendations can help parents advocate for their child’s needs at school, or provide adults with guidance on improving focus, productivity, and well-being.

Access to Services and Resources

Many services and resources require a formal diagnosis, including school accommodations, insurance coverage for therapy, or eligibility for specialized support programs like FSCD and PDD. A thorough assessment not only provides a clear diagnosis but also ensures that you or your child can access the right resources. This opens up pathways to tailored services that can improve quality of life and support long-term success.
